Donations of food and funds are critical to the success of The Food Bank of Manatee in the fight against local hunger. If you have non-perishable food items to contribute, The Food Bank, 811 23rd Ave East, Bradenton (at the corner of U.S. 301 and 9th St. East), is open for donations Monday - Friday, 8:30 am to 4 pm.
For every dollar we receive, we can provide much more in food assistance through our special purchasing outlets. The Food Bank's budget is approximately $6 Million, including in-kind food. With only a small percentage of income from governmental sources, the majority of funding comes from individuals, foundations, and local fundraisers. More detailed financial information can be obtained by calling our main office at 941-747-4655. You can make your dollars count today by making an online donation. 100% of your donation will remain right here in Manatee County. Please click the button below to donate.
Food drives are also a very important resource for The Food Bank, resulting in valuable canned food and dry goods. These drives also are a great way to spread the word about The Food Bank of Manatee and the need for hunger prevention in our community. Businesses, schools, civic organizations and clubs are encouraged to sponsor food drives. Because hunger has no season, we welcome food drives any time throughout the year.
